CMIP/ROSE [DSET Corporation]

Common Management Information Protocol (CMIP) package implementsspecifications based upon the ISO 9595/2 and 9596/2. The package includesa high-level ROSE (Remote Operations Service Element) API within DSG,dramatically simplifying the implementation of CMIP. Via these friendlyAPIs, CMIP-based Managers and Agents can also be conveniently developed.The common Management Information Service Entity (CMISE) part of theproduct permits management information to be transferred by initiatingremote operations allowing communication to take place between a managingand a managed system. Asynchronous events in the managed system can alsobe reported to the managing system.The ROSE portion of the product are executed with 5 service primitivesincluding: invoke, result, error, user regret (abort-u) and providerreject (abort-p). A function library is defined during implementationthat can be directly linked to the presentation protocol for userinitiated requests, responses, indications and confirmantions via afunction call.
